O, Were My Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDBD EFGHIJIJ

O were my love yon lilac fairA
Wi' purple blossoms to the springB
And I a bird to shelter thereA
When wearied on my little wingB
How I wad mourn when it was tornC
By Autumn wild and Winter rudeD
But I wad sing on wanton wingB
When youthfu May its bloom renew'dD
-
O gin my love were yon red roseE
That grows upon the castle wa'F
And I mysel a drap o' dewG
Into her bonie breast to fa'H
O there beyond expression blestI
I'd feast on beauty a' the nightJ
Seal'd on her silk saft faulds to restI
Till fley'd awa by Phoebus' lightJ
