Carigieburn Wood Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EBEB FBBB

Sweet fa's the eve on CraigieburnA
And blythe awakens the morrowB
But a' the pride o' spring's returnA
Can yield me nocht but sorrowB
-
I see the flowers and spreading treesC
I hear the wild birds singingD
But what a weary wight can pleaseC
And care his bosom wringingD
-
Fain fain would I my griefs impartE
Yet darena for your anger'B
But secret love will break my heartE
If I conceal it langerB
-
If thou refuse to pity meF
If thou shalt love anitherB
When yon green leaves fade frae the treeB
Around my grave they'll witherB
