So I shall see her in three daysB
And just one night but nights are shortC
Then two long hours and that is mornD
See how I come unchanged unwornD
Feel where my life broke off from thineD
How fresh the splinters keep and fineD
Only a touch and we combineD

Too long this time of year the daysB
But nights at least the nights are shortC
As night shows where ger one moon isE
A hand's breadth of pure light and blissF
So life's night gives my lady birthG
And my eyes hold her What is worthG
The rest of heaven the rest of earthG

O loaded curls release your storeH
Of warmth and scent as once beforeH
The tingling hair did lights and darksF
Outbreaking into fairy sparksF
When under curl and curl I priedI
After the warmth and scent insideI
Thro' lights and darks how manifoldJ
The dark inspired the light controlledJ
As early Art embrowns the goldJ

-
What great fear should one say Three daysF
That change the world might change as wellL
Your fortune and if joy delaysF
Be happy that no worse befell ''-
What small fear if another saysF
Three days and one short night besideI
May throw no shadow on your waysF
But years must teem with change untriedI
With chance not easily defiedI
With an end somewhere undescried ''-
No fear or if a fear be bornD
This minute it dies out in scornD
Fear I shall see her in three daysF
And one night now the nights are shortC
Then just two hours and that is mornD
