Stript the beds and spoilt the bowersA
From the lapful light she carriesB
Drops a careless bud nor tarriesB
To regain the waif and strayC
Store enough for home she'll sayC

Heaps of loving under overD
Whelm him make the one the wealthyE
Am I all so poor who stealthyE
Work it was picked up what fellF
Not the worst bud who can tellF
