Woke up quickly from a dreamA
Once more it was of you and meB
Running naked along soft sandC
Ocean crashing around us againD
-
A vision in my sleep for yearsE
Your deep blue eyes erase my fearsE
They used to say follow the ballsF
Keep them up don't let them fallG
-
If you drop down from way up highH
Then In the dream open your eyesI
You should bounce on the groundJ
Instead hit hard and death is foundJ
-
Saw your name on the Titanic listK
You were not on the rescue shipL
It said Edith Evans traveled aloneM
To start a new life on the east coastN
-
-
Gotta rescue my beautyB
Get her off that shipL
Build a time machineO
Edith won't survive the tripL
Hope I don't get stuck thereP
May not ever make it backQ
I need a Titanic love to lastR
-
You're my Titanic loverS
Way back in timeT
Can't seem to reach youU
Always on my mindV
Want to feel your bodyB
Lying next to mineW
You're my Titanic loverS
Way back in timeT
Don't want you to floatX
When I close my eyesI
Need to see you in a boatX
With me by your sideY
You're my Titanic loverS
Way back in timeT
Somehow I will get to youU
Or I will surely dieH
-
Made a crazy time machineO
Found all the parts I did needZ
Internet sure made it happenA2
Gotta trust this wild contraptionA2
-
Grabbed my cell phoneM
Keyed in the proper codeB2
Jumped into the time machineO
Back to the Titanic I now goC2
-
Heard a sound like screaming catsD2
Burnt tire smell happened nextE2
Blinding lights jumped all aroundJ
gigawatts yelled Doc BrownF2
-
The warmth of the time machineO
Suddenly changed like ice creamA
I lay now on a shiny wood floorG2
Jumped as a ship whistle roaredH2
-
Stood on my feet looking aboutI2
Those on shore gave out a shoutI2
People near me hollered and wavedJ2
Heard folks yelling the Titanic nameK2
-
Had to keep myself laying lowC2
Looking for Edith on the big boatX
Finally found her my heart flippedL2
Had to get to know her really quickM2
-
See her walking alone on deckN2
Approach her to talk for just a bitO2
The bugle sounds we eat togetherS
Holding her close in icy weatherS
-
I use my English charmsP2
Woo her ever so strongQ2
See emoji love in her eyesI
We lay together that nightR2
-
Saw Captain Smith on the deckN2
Grabbed his arm pulled him backQ
Stared intently into his brown eyesI
Said Change course now or dieH
-
He freed his arm to straighten upS2
Slammed me to the wall so roughT2
Don't start rumors or you will payU2
Were making good time to USAU2
-
Told him how there is ice aroundJ
He said lookouts will call if foundJ
Instructed me to return to my cabinA2
Or I'll be on a 'stairway to heaven'A2
-
The iceberg hit the Titanic shipL
I know the outcome of this tripL
Got Edith Into a boat right awayU2
Now I am not allowed to stayU2
-
I hold my smartphone but it's deadV2
Not too smart I thought in my headV2
Glanced down at the still icy waterS
Jumped in like an Olympic diverS
-
Swam about for over two hoursW2
Looking for her boat on the waterS
My body was warm like hot gruelX2
Due to the wetsuit under my suitY2
-
Climbed on board her life boatX
Some lady smacked me with an oarG2
Edith caressed me rubbing my headV2
Once In New York we would wedV2
-
Stuck back in time living InA2
Got a farm in New York life is wellZ2
Smart phone buried in a black boxA3
Not much use can't charge it upS2
-
You're my Titanic loverS
Way back in timeT
Can't seem to reach youU
Always on my mindV
Want to feel your bodyB
Lying next to mineA2
You're my Titanic loverS
Way back in timeT
Now you are truly mineA2

Poet's note: This poem came to me today as we approach the 110th year since Titanic sinking. I saw photos of ladies who perished. One from first class. Why was she not on a life boat? What if she could be saved.. a man falls in love .... He wants to save her.. this is his emotional journey
