| Out of all the pretty stars up there it s you I m thinking of | A |

| I know your love is far away but it feels so close to me | B |
| Like a beautiful star up there you shine so bright for me | B |

| Then I m reminded of the distance between your love and I | C |
| I may never reach you or should I even try | C |

| So like a fool I stand with my arms reached to you | D |
| Like a fool in love I don t know what to do | D |

| So I ll keep reaching for my distant star | E |
| With my arms stretched towards heaven it don t seem quite so far | E |
