To The Golden Wife Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACCBB DEDFFEE

With laughter always on the darkest dayA
She danced before the very face of dreadB
Starry companion of my mortal wayA
Pre destined merrily to be my mateC
With eyes as calm she met the eyes of FateC
For this it was that you and I were wedB
What else she smiled and saidB
-
Fair weather wives are any man's to findD
The pretty sisters of the butterflyE
Gay when the sun is out and skies are kindD
The daughters of the rainbow all may winF
Pity their lovers when the sun goes inF
Her smiles are brightest 'neath the stormiest skyE
Thrice blest and all unworthy IE
