The Animalcule On Man Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEF GHGI FFFF

An animalcule in my bloodA
Rose up against me as I dreamedB
He was so tiny as he stoodC
You had not heard him though he screamedB
-
He cried 'There is no Man '-
And thumped the table with his fistD
Then died his day was scarce a spanE
That microscopic atheistF
-
Yet all the while his little soulG
Within what he denied did liveH
Poor part how could he know the wholeG
And yet he was so positiveI
-
And all the while he thus blasphemedF
My solar system went its roundF
My heart beat on my head still dreamedF
But my poor atheist was drownedF
