Rhyme Scheme: ABBACC DEEDAA

How fast the year is going byA
Love it will be September soonB
O let us make the best of JuneB
Already love it is JulyA
The rose and honeysuckle goC
And all too soon will come the snowC
-
Dark berries take the place of flowersD
Of summer August still remainsE
Then sad September with her rainsE
O love how short a year is oursD
So swiftly does the summer flyA
Scarce time is left to say goodbyeA
