Green Silence Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFGF HIHI

Silence whose drowsy eyelids are soft leavesA
And whose half sleeping eyes are the blue flowersB
On whose still breast the water lily heavesA
For all her speech the whisper of the showersB
-
Made of all things that in the water swayC
The quiet reed kissing the arrowheadD
The willows murmuring all a summer dayC
Silence sweet word and ne'er so softly saidD
-
As here along this path of brooding peaceE
Where all things dream and nothing else is doneF
But all such gentle businesses as theseG
Of leaves and rippling wind and setting sunF
-
Turning the stream to a long lane of goldH
Where the young moon shall walk with feet of pearlI
And framed in sleeping lilies fold on foldH
Gaze at herself like any mortal girlI
