Buried Treasure Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGH GIJKELEL GMGMGNGN

When the musicians hide away their facesA
And all the petals of the rose are shedB
And snow is drifting through the happy placesA
And the last cricket's heart is cold and deadB
O Joy where shall we find theeC
O Love where shall we seekD
For summer is behind theeC
And cold is winter's cheekD
-
Where shall I find me violets in DecemberE
O tell me where the wood thrush sings to dayF
Ah heart our summer love dost thou rememberE
Where it lies hidden safe and warm awayF
When woods once more are ringingG
With sweet birds on the boughH
And brooks once more are singingG
Will it be there thinkst thouH
-
When Autumn came through bannered woodlands sighingG
We found a place of moonlight and of tearsI
And there with yellow leaves for it to lie inJ
Left it to dream watched over by the spheresK
It lies like buried treasureE
Beneath the winter's coldL
The love beyond all measureE
In heaps of living goldL
-
When April's here with all her sweet adorningG
And all the joys steal back December hidM
Shall we not laughing run some happy morningG
And of our treasure lift the leafy lidM
Again to find it dreamingG
Just as we left it stillN
Our treasure far out gleamingG
Crocus and daffodilN
