Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JKLK MNON BPQP

The daisied dawn is in the skyA
And the young day still dew and dreamB
When on the innocent morning airC
There comes a terrifying screamB
-
And the four ends of the sad earthD
Repeat the hellish dreadful callE
Soft ladies murmur in soft bedsF
The morning whistle that is allE
-
And I too turn to sleep once moreG
A haunted sleep all filled with painH
For in my sleep I see the menI
The victims of colossal GainH
-
Troop in the doors of servitudeJ
I see the children weary eyedK
I see the time clock and I seeL
The endless day that glooms insideK
-
It is the Moloch of the dawnM
Capital calling for its preyN
Men women and little boys and girlsO
It's human sacrifice each dayN
-
And as I hear that dreadful screamB
High in the dawn all filled with songP
I pray within my aching heart O LordQ
O Lord How long How longP
