Free Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEFAGEEHEAIJ

Let me be the windA
Tethered just to lifeB
Let me untamedA
That I may only thriveC
Rushing with manic swirlsD
Breezing with meek feelsE
And roaring here and thereF
Let me be the windA
Sure only to this sphereG
Biding invincible and dauntlessE
Inarguably without caresE
Thrusting with penacheH
And whelming even the seasE
If and only if I be the windA
It will be much lighterI
Being life's freest slaveJ

Poet's note: What inspired the poem was an old argument on one being truly free. The concept of absolute freedom is an illusion but one can't help but desire freedom even though it can't be fully satisfied. "Freedom from what" One might wonder, well, freedom from the cares of life, higher authority, societal conditions, and many other things that constraints a person. There are things that are freer than others and the wind is one of those things with superior level of freedom. So if one could be that free then it's a win.
