Goliath Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDDDD CCEECC

He flings me hard onto the dry rocky surfaceA
and I allow death to capture me in its embraceB
The colossal beast with impenetrable armourC
standing over me like an immense towerC
He roars with laughter putting me in my miseryD
I should have never crossed his territoryD
I tremble at the monster that I seeD
Wishing that the Lord could come and save meD
-
But as Goliath roars with laughterC
I begin to laugh but much louderC
Because King David passed on long agoE
and he had killed this beast long before I knowE
I begin to realise that the Goliath who brings me so much terrorC
is merely the tiny girl i see in the mirrorC
