I think that I must rest awhile ,
My feet to walk at countryside.
I think that I must take my heart
To all the beauty in the wild
Where lilies crowd along a creek
Where waterfowls bathe joyously
And lad is there to kiss a cheek
Fair as the summer's revelry!
I think that I must go and breathe
The flower-scented wind all day.
At night, a distant song of birds
Plays as against a tree I lay
And watch the moon go by the wood.
Its light illuminates my Love:
A lad and lass will I hear speak;
And turn my heart once more above.
