To Eva Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCB DEFGGH IJIJ CKLK MNON

O Fair and stately maid whose eyeA
Was kindled in the upper skyA
At the same torch that lighted mineB
For so I must interpret stillC
Thy sweet dominion o'er my willC
A sympathy divineB
-
Ah let me blameless gaze uponD
Features that seem in heart my ownE
Nor fear those watchful sentinelsF
Which charm the more their glance forbidsG
Chaste glowing underneath their lidsG
With fire that draws while it repelsH
-
Thine eyes still shined for me though farI
I lonely roved the land or seaJ
As I behold yon evening starI
Which yet beholds not meJ
-
This morn I climbed the misty hillC
And roamed the pastures throughK
How danced thy form before my pathL
Amidst the deep eyed dewK
-
When the red bird spread his sable wingM
And showed his side of flameN
When the rose bud ripened to the roseO
In both I read thy nameN
