The Enchanter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAABCCDDEEFFFF

In the deep heart of man a poet dwellsA
Who all the day of life his summer story tellsA
Scatters on every eye dust of his spellsA
Scent form and color to the flowers and shellsA
Wins the believing child with wondrous talesB
Touches a cheek with colors of romanceC
And crowds a history into a glanceC
Gives beauty to the lake and fountainD
Spies oversea the fires of the mountainD
When thrushes ope their throat 't is he that singsE
And he that paints the oriole's fiery wingsE
The little Shakspeare in the maiden's heartF
Makes Romeo of a plough boy on his cartF
Opens the eye to Virtue's starlike meedF
And gives persuasion to a gentle deedF
