Merops Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

What care I so they stand the sameA
Things of the heavenly mindB
How long the power to give them fameA
Tarries yet behindB
-
Thus far to day your favors reachC
O fair appeasing PresencesD
Ye taught my lips a single speechC
And a thousand silencesD
-
Space grants beyond his fated roadE
No inch to the god of dayF
And copious language still bestowedE
One word no more to sayF
