Brahma Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FAFA GHIH

If the red slayer think he slaysA
Or if the slain think he is slainB
They know not well the subtle waysA
I keep and pass and turn againC
-
Far or forgot to me is nearD
Shadow and sunlight are the sameE
The vanished gods to me appearD
And one to me are shame and fameE
-
They reckon ill who leave me outF
When me they fly I am the wingsA
I am the doubter and the doubtF
I am the hymn the Brahmin singsA
-
The strong gods pine for my abodeG
And pine in vain the sacred SevenH
But thou meek lover of the goodI
Find me and turn thy back on heavenH
