Art Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEEFFGHIIJJKKLLMM NNOOPPQQ

Give to barrows trays and pansA
Grace and glimmer of romanceB
Bring the moonlight into noonC
Hid in gleaming piles of stoneD
On the city's paved streetE
Plant gardens lined with lilacs sweetE
Let spouting fountains cool the airF
Singing in the sun baked squareF
Let statue picture park and hallG
Ballad flag and festivalH
The past restore the day adornI
And make to morrow a new mornI
So shall the drudge in dusty frockJ
Spy behind the city clockJ
Retinues of airy kingsK
Skirts of angels starry wingsK
His fathers shining in bright fablesL
His children fed at heavenly tablesL
'T is the privilege of ArtM
Thus to play its cheerful partM
Man on earth to acclimateN
And bend the exile to his fateN
And moulded of one elementO
With the days and firmamentO
Teach him on these as stairs to climbP
And live on even terms with TimeP
Whilst upper life the slender rillQ
Of human sense doth overfillQ
