Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEFGHIJJBKLMNMOB C

Everything is farA
and long gone byB
I think that the starA
glittering above meC
has been dead for a million yearsD
I think there were tearsE
in the car I heard passF
and something terrible was saidG
A clock has stopped striking in the houseH
across the roadI
When did it startJ
I would like to step out of my heartJ
an go walking beneath the enormous skyB
I would like to prayK
And surely of all the stars that perishedL
long agoM
one still existsN
I think that I knowM
which one it isO
which one at the end of its beam in the skyB
stands like a white cityC
