Encounter In The Chestnut Avenue Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGHI JKLC MNJO J

He felt the entrance's green darknessA
wrapped cooly round him like a silken cloakB
that he was still accepting and arrangingC
when at the opposite transparent end far offD
-
through green sunlight as through green window panesE
whitely a solitary shapeF
flared up long remaining distantG
and then finally the downdriving lightH
boiling over it at every stepI
-
bearing on itself a bright pulsationJ
which in the blond ran shyly to the backK
But suddenly the shade was deepL
and nearby eyes lay gazingC
-
from a clear new unselfconscious faceM
which as in a portrait lived intenselyN
in the instant things split off againJ
first there forever and then not at allO
