Rhyme Scheme: AAA BAAC DEFGAHI

Lord it is time The summer was immenseA
Lay your shadow on the sundialsA
and let loose the wind in the fieldsA
-
Bid the last fruits to be fullB
give them another two more southerly daysA
press them to ripeness and chaseA
the last sweetness into the heavy wineC
-
Whoever has no house now will not build oneD
anymoreE
Whoever is alone now will remain so for a longF
timeG
will stay up read write long lettersA
and wander the avenues up and downH
restlessly while the leaves are blowingI
