Maya Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEF GHIJ KLMM NOF

That I should make much of myself and turn it on all sidesA
thus casting colored shadows on thy radianceB
such is thy MayaC
-
Thou settest a barrier in thine own beingD
and then callest thy severed self in myriad notesE
This thy self separation has taken body in meF
-
The poignant song is echoed through all the sky in many coloued tearsG
and smiles alarms and hopes waves rise up and sink againH
dreams break and formI
In me is thy own defeat of selfJ
-
This screen that thou hast raised is painted with innumerable figuresK
with the brush of the night and the dayL
Behind it thy seat is woven in wondrous mysteries of curvesM
casting away all barren lines of straightnessM
-
The great pageant of thee and me has overspread the skyN
With the tune of thee and me all the air is vibrantO
and all ages pass with the hiding and seeking of thee and meF
