Baby's Way Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDEFGACHIJKJLGMNO PQRSTK

If baby only wanted to he could fly up to heaven this momentA
It is not for nothing that he does not leave usB
He loves to rest his head on mother's bosom and cannot everC
bear to lose sight of herC
Baby know all manner of wise words though few on earth canD
understand their meaningE
It is not for nothing that he never wants to speakF
The one thing he wants is to learn mother's words fromG
mother's lips That is why he looks so innocentA
Baby had a heap of gold and pearls yet he came like a beggarC
on to this earthH
It is not for nothing he came in such a disguiseI
This dear little naked mendicant pretends to be utterlyJ
helpless so that he may beg for mother's wealth of loveK
Baby was so free from every tie in the land of the tinyJ
crescent moonL
It was not for nothing he gave up his freedomG
He knows that there is room for endless joy in mother's littleM
corner of a heart and it is sweeter far than liberty to be caughtN
and pressed in her dear armsO
Baby never knew how to cry He dwelt in the land of perfectP
blissQ
It is not for nothing he has chosen to shed tearsR
Though with the smile of his dear face he draws mother'sS
yearning heart to him yet his little cries over tiny troublesT
weave the double bond of pity and loveK
