Pity in place of loveA
That pettiest of giftsB
Is but a sugar coating over neglectC

Burnt a smoky lantern covered with sootH2
The porch smelt of the smouldering wickI2
Over the abandoned bed the flaps of the rolled up mosquito netJ2
Fluttered a little in the breezeK2
Seen in the sky outside through the windowL2
Was the morning starM2
Witness of all sleepless peopleN2

Suddenly I found you had left behind by mistakeP2
