And all in fact is planned and that's | E |
Its great delight to please the cats | E |
- | |
Yet sometimes too your placid mind | F |

And most to one who sheds her tears | G |
The mistress of your later years | H |
Who sheds her tears to summon back | I |
Her faithful cat the white and black | I |
- | |
Fluffy full well you understood | J |
The frequent joys of motherhood | J |
To lick from pointed tail to nape | K |
The mewing litter into shape | K |
To show with pride that condescends | H |
Your offspring to your human friends | H |
And all our sympathy to win | L |
For every kit tucked snugly in | L |
- | |
In your familiar garden ground | M |

And passing by it we recite | N |
Your merits and your praise aright | N |
- | |

A faithful furry friendly beast | N |
Responsive to the lightest word | N |
About these walks her purr was heard | N |
Love she received for much she earned | N |
And much in kindness she returned | N |
Wherefore her comrades go not by | O |
Her little grave without a sigh | O |
