Cruel Cupid Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFG

I watched helplessly as my words dripped off the parchment and vanished into the voidA
I had poured out myself like a love offering and then Cupid chose to play a trick on meB
I had spent many nights of precious moments alone with you in my headC
Every morning I woke up refreshed and renewed and ready to face your rejection againD
You had never been open with me and so you kept this tired heart beating with hopeE
A fantastical expectation of heaven on earth and a slow demise of my already fragmented selfF
If only you would have hunted me down I would have gladly surrendered my soul to youG
