| By the emotional rivalries that surround me | A |
| By the dreams that are yet to achieve | B |
| By the collapsing hopes that are hard to retrieve | B |
| By the world I never wanted to be a part of | C |
| By the emptiness I was never fond of | C |
| By the silence that has filled my soul | D |
| By the loneliness that has eaten me up whole | D |
| By the words that always go unuttered | E |
| By the wounds that always are untended | E |
| By the noise that cuts me like a sword | E |
| By the disguised sweet and lovely words | F |
| By hundreds of broken pieces caged in my body | E |
| By the hidden wrath that can poison anybody | E |
| By everything approaching me in a row | G |
| And this is the DEFINITION of DEFEAT I know | G |
