The place I called homeA
A memory filled with joy and hopeB
Where my brothers and IC
Often coiledD
Where am I to find this placeE
How am I to set my faceE
If nothing seems to ever blessF
The hearts of my peopleG
-
The place I called homeA
Now wretchedH
Torn down to piecesI
Burnt down to ashesI
Nothing left for me to look ontoJ
-
My brothers have broken necksK
They are limpingL
My people have nothing to eatM
Except the stenchN
That comes from the cold bodiesO
That lie along the streetsP
Gunshots have become music to my peopleG
That brings melancholyQ
Painful sorrowsR
And overflowing tearsS
-
The nation has no more to giveT
But the nose of the gunU
Onto the wananchiN
No peace togetherness distortedV
Security is a fairy taleW
Hunger defines the situationU
Death from a bulletX
Seems even much betterY
Than that caused by the deficiencyQ
-
How long shall I keep lookingL
For the place I called homeA
The place that held memoriesO
Of joy and hopeB
Who will hear my voiceZ
And come to my rescueJ
To save the people that I loveA2
Where will peace and restorationU
Of untimely and unlimited happinessB2
Come fromC2
If we do not uniteD2
Become one and save a soulE2
-
The child the message to the futureY
Never sparedF2
Who will protect the futureY
If we all show our backs on the peopleG
In the place I called homeA
My home not lookingL
Like my home anymoreG2
