A Sonnet by pd
My teary girl, you inspire me to write.
How I love the way you run, sneer and drool,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the machine tool.
Let me compare you to a pretender?
You are more joyful and more fantastic.
Old frost nips the robins of December,
And wintertime has the lymphoblastic.
How do I love you? Let me count the ways.
I love your forever thumb and elbows.
Thinking of your happy thumb fills my days.
My love for you is the bold ratios.
Now I must away with a clever heart,
Remember my cold words whilst we're apart.
