One day at a dress shopA
I met a man selling ringsB
For money he wanted to swapA
But I really wanted some springsB
-
Got any springs asked IC
For that's how I'll spend my moneyD
No springs here said the guyC
He seemed to find it quite funnyD
-
We've got some lovely framesE
I'll give you a very fine priceF
I'd rather have some airframesE
The man blinked rapidly thriceF
-
The man seemed exceptionally impatientG
And his manner was strangely amusedH
He wasn't what I would call abortifacientG
Great disdain he noticeably oozedH
-
Like others he thought I was oddI
Some say I'm a bit smallJ
Still he gave me a courteous nodI
As if he thought I was plenty screwballJ
-
So in search of my goal I departedK
But before the dress shop could I leaveL
The man came running full heartedK
I can help you I believeL
-
Rings springs you shall findM
Frames airframes you can getN
You must now open your mindM
And get down to ShopRite MarketO
-
So to ShopRite Market I decided to goP
In search of the springs I cravedQ
The winds it did eerily blowP
But I felt that the day could be savedQ
-
There were stalls selling crispsF
Buns in many shadesF
There were even stalls selling lispsF
People were scattered from many tradesF
-
I was greeted by a peculiar ladyD
She seemed to be rather smallJ
I couldn't help thinking she might be quite shadyD
I wondered if she was at all screwballJ
-
Before I could open my mouthR
She shouted For you I have some springsF
I headed towards her to the southR
Past some frames and ringsF
-
But how did you know I askedS
Do you want them or not she did sayF
Silently the springs she passedT
Then vanished before I could payF
-
As I walked away I hard a crackleU
Or was it perhaps a hushed cackleU
