Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD BBBB EFEF GEGE HIHI JKJL MNMN BBBB DEDE OBOB PBQB EEOne day at a cake shop | A |
I met a man selling crisps | B |
For money he wanted to swap | A |
But I really wanted some wisps | B |
- | |
Got any wisps asked I | C |
For that's how I'll spend my money | D |
No wisps here said the guy | C |
He seemed to find it quite funny | D |
- | |
We've got some lovely pies | B |
I'll give you a very fine price | B |
I'd rather have some supplies | B |
The man blinked rapidly thrice | B |
- | |
The man seemed exceptionally powerful | E |
And his manner was strangely amused | F |
He wasn't what I would call flowerful | E |
Great disdain he noticeably oozed | F |
- | |
Like others he thought I was odd | G |
Some say I'm a bit special | E |
Still he gave me a courteous nod | G |
As if he thought I was plenty especial | E |
- | |
So in search of my goal I departed | H |
But before the cake shop could I leave | I |
The man came running full hearted | H |
I can help you I believe | I |
- | |
Crisps wisps you shall find | J |
Pies supplies you can get | K |
You must now open your mind | J |
And get down to Conner shop Market | L |
- | |
So to Conner shop Market I decided to go | M |
In search of the wisps I craved | N |
The winds it did eerily blow | M |
But I felt that the day could be saved | N |
- | |
There were stalls selling rings | B |
Lavender in many shades | B |
There were even stalls selling wings | B |
People were scattered from many trades | B |
- | |
I was greeted by a peculiar lady | D |
She seemed to be rather special | E |
I couldn't help thinking she might be quite shady | D |
I wondered if she was at all especial | E |
- | |
Before I could open my mouth | O |
She shouted For you I have some wisps | B |
I headed towards her to the south | O |
Past some pies and crisps | B |
- | |
But how did you know I asked | P |
Do you want them or not she did say | B |
Silently the wisps she passed | Q |
Then vanished before I could pay | B |
- | |
As I walked away I hard a crackle | E |
Or was it perhaps a hushed cackle | E |
