Yesteryear Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF GHIB

The vast open farms of youthA
where horizons were clearB
and bush trails led to secret hideoutsC
We lived in treehouses orD
spent weekends on the riverbankE
sometimes we slept in cavesF
-
In the city's concrete jungleG
one effectively loses your habitatH
Your apartment is a shelter of solitudeI
to remember the widenesses of yesteryearB
