I see trees of greenA
Being cut down and choppedB
I see Red Roses tooC
Being picked from the worldD
I see them bloomE
For me and youC
And I thinkF
If only people stop to admire themG
-
I see skies of blueC
Being pollutedH
And clouds of whiteI
Blocking the sunJ
The bright blessed dayK
Made for me and youC
The dark sacred nightI
For us to sing a lullaby toC
And I think to myselfL
If only other people would tooC
Admire the worldD
-
The colors of the rainbowM
So pretty in the skyN
Also used to be on the facesO
Of people going byN
I d see friends shaking handsP
Saying How do you doC
But now all they say isQ
a pin dropsR
-
I hear babies cryN
I watch them growM
And I hope they ll learn much more about what the world really isQ
And I think to myselfL
What a Beautiful Blue WorldD
Yes I think to myselfL
What a Beautiful Blue WorldD

Poet's note: Yes, yes, this is the lyrics to What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong, except they're not. I really, really like that song and the message it carries so it inspired me to change it and write a new message about Global Warming, Pollution, the Coral reef bleaching problem, etc.
