I see trees of green,
Being cut down and chopped.
I see Red Roses too,
Being picked from the world.
I see them bloom,
For me and you,
And I think,
If only people stop to admire them.

I see skies of blue,
Being polluted.
And clouds of white,
Blocking the sun.
The bright blessed day,
Made for me and you.
The dark sacred night,
For us to sing a lullaby to.
And I think to myself,
If only other people would too,
Admire the world.

The colors of the rainbow,
So pretty in the sky,
Also used to be on the faces,
Of people going by.
I’d see friends shaking hands,
Saying, "How do you do?"
But now all they say is,
“…” (*a pin drops).

I hear babies cry,
I watch them grow.
And I hope they’ll learn much more about what the world really is.
And I think to myself,
What a Beautiful Blue World.
Yes, I think to myself,
What a Beautiful Blue World.
