An Answer To The Rebus, By The Author Of These Poems Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGGHHIIJJ

The poet asks and Phillis can't refuseA
To show th' obedience of the Infant museA
She knows the Quail of most inviting tasteB
Fed Israel's army in the dreary wasteB
And what's on Britain's royal standard borneC
But the tall graceful rampant UnicornC
The Emerald with a vivid verdure glowsD
Among the gems which regal crowns composeD
Boston's a town polite and debonairE
To which the beaux and beauteous nymphs repairE
Each Helen strikes the mind with sweet surpriseF
While living lightning flashes from her eyesF
See young Euphorbus of the Dardan lineG
By Manelaus' hand to death resignG
The well known peer of popular applauseH
Is C m zealous to support our lawsH
Quebec now vanquish'd must obeyI
She too much annual tribute payI
To Britain of immortal fameJ
And add new glory to her nameJ
