Astrophel And Stella - Third Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDD CCCCDD AEFFCC

If Orpheus voyce had force to breathe such musickes loueA
Through pores of senceles trees as it could make them moueB
If stones good measure daunc'd the Theban walles to buildC
To cadence of the tunes which Amphions lyre did yeeldC
More cause a like effect at least wise bringethD
O stones O trees learne hearing Stella singethD
-
If loue might sweeten so a boy of shepheard broodC
To make a lyzard dull to taste loues dainty foodC
If eagle fierce could so in Grecian mayde delightC
As her eyes were his light her death his endlesse nightC
Earth gaue that loue heau'n I trow loue refinethD
O birds O beasts looke loue lo Stella shinethD
-
The beasts birds stones and trees feele this and feeling loueA
And if the trees nor stones stirre not the same to proueE
Nor beasts nor birds do come vnto this blessed gazeF
Know that small loue is quicke and great loue doth amazeF
They are amaz'd but you with reason armedC
O eyes O eares of men how you are charmedC
