O deare Life when shall it beeA
That mine eyes thine eyes shall seeA
And in them thy mind discouerB
Whether absence haue had forceC
thy remembrance to diuorceC
From the image of thy louerB
-
Or if I my self find notD
After parting aught forgotD
Nor debar'd from Beauties treasureB
Let not tongue aspire to tellE
In what high ioyes I shall dwellE
Only thought aymes at the pleasureB
-
Thought therefore I will send theeA
To take vp the place for meA
Long I will not after taryB
There vnseene thou mayst be boldF
Those faire wonders to beholdF
Which in them my hopes do caryB
-
Thought see thou no place forbeareB
Enter brauely euerywhereB
Seize on all to her belongingG
But if thou wouldst garded beB
Fearing her beames take with theeB
Strength of liking rage of longingG
-
Thinke of that most gratefull timeH
When my leaping heart will climbH
In thy lips to haue his bidingG
There those roses for to kisseC
Which do breathe a sugred blisseC
Opening rubies pearles diuidingG
-
Thinke of my most princely pow'rB
Which I blessed shall deuow'rB
With my greedy licorous sencesC
Beauty musicke sweetnesse loueE
While she doth against me proueB
Her strong darts but weake defencesC
-
Thinke thinke of those dalyingsC
When with doue like murmuringsC
With glad moning passed anguishI
We change eyes and hart for hartJ
Each to other do departJ
Ioying till ioy makes vs languishI
-
O my Thoughts my Thoughts surceaseC
Thy delights my woes increseC
My life melts with too much thinkingG
Thinke no more but die in meB
Till thou shalt reuiued beB
At her lips my Nectar drinkingG
