Astrophel And Stella - Sonnet Xxii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBAACCADD

In highest way of heau'n the Sun did rideA
Progressing then from fair Twinnes golden placeB
Hauing no mask of clouds before his faceB
But streaming forth of heate in his chiefe prideA
When some fair ladies by hard promise tiedA
On horsebacke met him in his furious raceB
Yet each prepar'd with fannes wel shading graceB
From that foes wounds their tender skinnes to hideA
Stella alone with face vnarmed marchtA
Either to do like him which open shoneC
Or carelesse of the wealth because her owneC
Yet were the hid and meaner beauties parchtA
Her dainties bare went free the cause was thisD
The sun that others burn'd did her but kisseD
