Astrophel And Stella - Sonnet Xviii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABCADADAEE

With what sharp checkes I in myself am shentA
When into Reasons audite I do goeB
And by iust counts my selfe a bankrout knowB
Of all those goods which heauen to me hath lentA
Vnable quite to pay euen Natures rentA
Which vnto it by birthright I do owB
And which is worse no good excuse can showeC
But that my wealth I haue most idly spentA
My youth doth waste my knowledge brings forth toyesD
My wit doth striue those passions to defendeA
Which for reward spoil it with vain annoyesD
I see my course to lose myself doth bendA
I see and yet no greater sorrow takeE
Than that I lose no more for Stellas sakeE
