Phoebus was iudge betweene Ioue Mars and LoueA
Of those three gods whose armes the fairest wereB
Ioues golden shield did sable eagles beareC
Whose talons held young Ganimed aboueD
But in vert field Mars bare a golden speareE
Which through a bleeding heart his point did shoueF
Each had his creast Mars carried Venus gloueA
Ioue on his helmet the thunderbolt did reareE
Cupid then smiles for on his crest there liesG
Stellas faire haire her face he makes his shieldH
Where roses gules are borne in siluer fieldH
Phoebus drew wide the curtaines of the skiesG
To blaze these last and sware deuoutly thenI
The first thus matcht were scantly gentlemenJ
