Astrophel And Stella - Sonnet Xii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBAACACDD

Cupid because thou shin'st in Stellaes eyesA
That from her locks thy day nets none scapes freeB
That those lips sweld so full of thee they beB
That her sweet breath makes oft thy flames to riseA
That in her breast thy pap well sugred liesA
That her grace gracious makes thy wrongsthat sheB
What words soere shee speake perswades for theeB
That her clere voice lifts thy fame to the skiesA
Thou countest Stella thine like those whose pow'rsA
Hauing got vp a breach by fighting wellC
Crie Victorie this faire day all is oursA
O no her heart is such a cittadellC
So fortified with wit stor'd with disdaineD
That to win it is all the skill and paineD
