Astrophel And Stella - Sonnet Lxxv Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBABACDCDEF

Of all the Kings that euer here did raigneA
Edward nam'd fourth as first in praise I nameB
Not for his faire outside nor well lin'd braineA
Although lesse gifts impe feathers oft on fameB
Nor that he could young wise wise valiant frameB
His sires reuenge ioyn'd with a kingdomes gaineA
And gain'd by Mars could yet mad Mars so tameB
That balance weigh'd what sword did late obtaineA
Nor that he made the floure de luce so 'fraidC
Though strongly hedg'd of bloudy lyons pawesD
That wittie Lewes to him a tribute paidC
Nor this nor that nor any such small causeD
But only for this worthy King durst proueE
To lose his crowne rather than faile his loueF
