A strife is growne between Vertue and LoueA
While each pretends that Stella must be hisB
Her eyes her lips her all saith Loue do thisC
Since they do weare his badge most firmly proueD
But Virtue thus that title doth disproueD
That Stella O dear name that Stella isB
That vertuous soule sure heire of heau'nly blisseB
Not this faire outside which our heart doth moueE
And therefore though her beautie and her graceB
Be Loues indeed in Stellas selfe he mayE
By no pretence claime any manner placeB
Well Loue since this demurre our sute doth stayE
Let Vertue haue that Stellaes selfe yet thusB
That Vertue but that body graunt to vsB
