Vertue alas now let me take some restA
Thou setst a bate betweene my will and witB
If vaine Loue haue my simple soule opprestB
Leaue what thou lik'st not deale thou not with itB
Thy scepter vse in some old Catoes brestB
Churches or Schooles are for thy seat more fitB
I do confesse pardon a fault confestB
My mouth too tender is for thy hard bitB
But if that needes thou wilt vsurping beC
The little reason that is left in meC
And still th'effect of thy perswasions prooueD
I sweare my heart such one shall show to theeC
That shrines in flesh so true a deitieB
That Virtue thou thyself shalt be in loueE
