Rhyme Scheme: A BCDEEFGHEA IAJKLIIIMEA MLDLIFIEMA IELLNMOMEEME

Written by Pharell GibrilA
-
If a poor man can eat hope so be itB
a political hearsayC
of 'will do will dawn a new way'D
a rich man arms are spreadE
'I can make your life different'E
and the government ever gloatingF
of a commitment to better meG
empty promises and hopsH
What a poor man has to eatE
Only God can solidify to realA
-
If a poor acceptsI
MORSEL for a full mealA
please let himJ
with every new leadershipK
'Have this for now more soon'L
when a rich man burpsI
a side dish and handkerchief appearsI
and dear government has subsidiesI
'all enriching and true'M
Dear Lord please see what i eatE
and add your blessings to make me fullA
-
If a poor is blind to yourM
HELP even when genuineL
Dare see it his wayD
with every new liberationL
so the sameness smell lingersI
with the vroom of rich man departingF
so the old lacking singsI
and the government will admitE
it wasted a full term needs anotherM
Take the poor man place at the big tableA
-
A poor man asks for no giftsI
every day living is one addedE
His is an urge for an extensionL
to your fishing lineL
he knows of a place he can goN
the patience he must musterM
the food he can consumeO
and where to put the reminderM
He feeds YOU in what he likes mostE
He even know what YOU need in your toastE
So why when a poor man is hungryM
you hurriedly turn eastE
