For most of my life I've been on a questB
To discover just who I might beC
Earnestly searching day after dayD
So desperate to recognize meC
-
I've felt moments of utter fulfillmentE
And moments I couldn't go onF
But I knew for the sake of my heartG
and my soul To succeed I would haveH
to be strong and be perseveranceI
in my goingsJ
-
But the people around me seemedK
so discouraging at timesL
That I feared I might be on my ownM
But then there'd be someoneN
who would reach out and helpO
And remind me I wasn't aloneM
-
I've wanted so much to be happyC
But to know of the true definitionN
of happiness one requires peacefulnessP
That's what it was to feel happyC
and have peace at the same timeQ
And I thought if I finally felt sureR
of myself Then the pain and the strugglesS
would cease Because to be oneselfT
one must be always be true to one true imageU

But I've learned that this journeyC
is endless and tediousP
The discoveries are fresh every dayD
And no matter how much I might knowV
of myself They'll be timesL
I will still lose my wayD
-
And as I've grown older I truly believeW
I may never know all I can beC
But the answers are not waitingX
out in the world But have alwaysY
laid right inside meC
-
We're all on this quest toZ
discover ourselves together but throughZ
our own ways Overcoming whatever mightA2
get in our paths as challenges andB2
discouragement so we can feel better somedayD
-
But always remember not to stray farC2
From what matters and what's really trueZ
In this life you don't have to be perfectD2
as there's no perfection in humanityC
but if you truly keep it consistentE
your story will be differE2
In the endF2
you just have to be you and growV
from a different perspectiveG2
that the world will like emulatingX
