To Wordsworth Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDEFGHIHI

Poet of Nature thou hast wept to knowA
That things depart which never may returnB
Childhood and youth friendship and love's first glowA
Have fled like sweet dreams leaving thee to mournC
These common woes I feel One loss is mineD
Which thou too feel'st yet I alone deploreE
Thou wert as a lone star whose light did shineD
On some frail bark in winter's midnight roarE
Thou hast like to a rock built refuge stoodF
Above the blind and battling multitudeG
In honored poverty thy voice did weaveH
Songs consecrate to truth and libertyI
Deserting these thou leavest me to grieveH
Thus having been that thou shouldst cease to beI
