Stanzas Written In Dejection Near Naples Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBBDBDD EFEFFFFFF GHGHHIHII JFJFFKFKK LMLCCNCNN

The sun is warm the sky is clearA
The waves are dancing fast and brightB
Blue isles and snowy mountains wearC
The purple noon's transparent mightB
The breath of the moist air is lightB
Around its unexpanded budsD
Like many a voice of one delightB
The winds' the birds' the ocean floods'D
The City's voice itself is soft like Solitude'sD
-
I see the Deep's untrampled floorE
With green and purple seaweeds strownF
I see the waves upon the shoreE
Like light dissolved in star showers thrownF
I sit upon the sands aloneF
The lightning of the noontide oceanF
Is flashing round me and a toneF
Arises from its measured motionF
How sweet did any heart now share in my emotionF
-
Alas I have nor hope nor healthG
Nor peace within nor calm aroundH
Nor that content surpassing wealthG
The sage in meditation foundH
And walked with inward glory crownedH
Nor fame nor power nor love nor leisureI
Others I see whom these surroundH
Smiling they live and call life pleasureI
To me that cup has been dealt in another measureI
-
Some might lament that I were coldJ
As I when this sweet day is doneF
Which my lost heart too soon grown oldJ
Insults with this untimely moanF
They might lament for I am oneF
Whom men love not and yet regretK
Unlike this day which when the sunF
Shall on its stainless glory setK
Will linger though enjoyed like joy in memory yetK
-
Yet now despair itself is mildL
Even as the winds and waters areM
I could lie down like a tired childL
And weep away the life of careC
Which I have borne and yet must bearC
Till death like sleep might steal on meN
And I might feel in the warm airC
My cheek grow cold and hear the seaN
Breathe o'er my dying brain its last monotonyN
